This FAQ section answers some common questions we receive about our housing program.

Q: Is Shared Serenity a halfway house or assisted living facility?

A: No. Shared Serenity is not a halfway house or assisted living facility. We are an independent living housing program designed for adults who are self-sufficient but need a safe, stable, and supportive place to live.

Q: Can I bring my children or pets?

A: Unfortunately, no children or pets are allowed in the homes. While we understand the importance of caring for loved ones, our housing program is designed for adult individuals only.

Can I bring my own furniture?

A: Unfortunately, no. In order to maintain a comfortable and clutter-free space, all homes are fully furnished. Program participants are limited in what they can bring, and storage space is minimal.

Q: Are accommodations private or shared?

A: We offer both shared and private room options based on availability and your needs.

Q: Are meals provided?

A: Meals are not provided, but the shared kitchen is fully equipped for you to prepare your own meals. We encourage participants to plan and prepare meals that fit their individual needs and preferences.

Q: Are support services available?

A: Yes. While we do not provide in-house case management, we assist with referrals and connections to local case management, housing resources, and community support program

Q: Is there a curfew?

A: Yes, curfew is 11:00 PM. Quiet hours are enforced to maintain a peaceful, respectful living environment.

Q: Are visitors allowed?

A: Personal visitors are not allowed. Only pre-approved third-party professionals—such as therapists, case managers, or healthcare providers—may visit.

Q: How long can I stay?

A: Participants sign a month-to-month agreement, allowing continued housing as long as community expectations are met.

Q: What does the monthly program fee include?

A: The program fee covers:

  • A fully functional shared kitchen
  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Furnished living areas
  • Security cameras and smart locks
  • Utilities
  • A clean, drug- and alcohol-free environment

Is the home drug and alcohol-free?

Absolutely. We maintain a strict drug and alcohol-free policy to ensure the safety and wellness of all residents
